Salv Silvera

SVP, Corporate West, Host Agency & Leisure

Salv’s experience spans across a broad range of travel and tourism business channels. Salv commenced his career in retail with Jetset Tours where he worked as a travel consultant for two years. He later transferred to Jetset head office in Perth within the wholesale division and embarked on his first management role at the age of 21. He then moved into the airline sector accepting an executive management position as Sales and Marketing manager at Skywest Airlines where he spent seven years of his career. Salv accepted a new challenge in 2006 as Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Sabre Airline Solutions which is a software company that caters to airlines in the Asia pacific region.

In 2009 Salv embarked on a new career direction. Combining his extensive management experience, passion for commercial activities and conservation he accepted an appointment as Commercial Operations Manager at Perth Zoo. In September 2012 Salv decided to return to his true passion by accepting the role of Regional Client Value Manager for Corporate Travel Management.  In 2014 Salv was awarded Young Executive of the Year by the Association of Travel Management Companies. Salv was chosen for his involvement in establishing a Corporate Social Responsibility framework designed to train travel agents in developing countries to become Travel Management Companies and in early 2015 Salv was promoted to General Manager, Western Australia & Northern Territory.  After three years as General Manager and under his leadership he was able to double the business in both gross sales and profit this led Salv to being promoted to a national role with CTM in the United States where he is now the SVP Corporate West, Host Agency and Leisure.

Priding himself on the ability to manage large sales and marketing budgets across several departments as well as implementing innovative sales and marketing campaigns, Salv has not only increased brand awareness for organisations, but more importantly increased yield and revenue. His approach is to align the strategic values and intended outcomes of the organisation with the marketing dynamic to create a solid and recognisable brand.

Salv has also been the catalyst for positive organisational change. He has initiated and led projects in strategic change management and progress improvement, including development and leadership programs for staff.  Salv holds a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management, Post Graduate in Business Services, Post Graduate in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration from Curtin University of Technology.
