Customer-led innovation drives easier flight planning in Lightning

When travel arrangers told us they wanted a better way to share flight options with their travelers, without the hassle of copying, pasting, or screenshots, we listened. Drawing on user feedback, including comparisons to similar third-party tools, CTM designed a smarter, more intuitive sharing experience in Lightning.

Launched in September 2024, Lightning’s new sharing feature allows users to share flight schedules and fares via Copy to Clipboard, Print to PDF, or direct Email, right from the results page. Importantly, users can now include or exclude fares, giving them greater control and flexibility when planning with colleagues.

The response has been strong and steadily growing in 2025:

• 322 shares in January
• 544 in February (+68% MoM)
• 769 in March (+41% MoM)

We’ve also seen a 10% rise in unique visitors and a 4% increase in account adoption over the past 30 days*; clear indicators that this customer-informed enhancement is helping teams plan travel more efficiently.

This is a great example of how real customer insight continues to shape better experiences in Lightning.
