CTM Mobile is getting an upgrade
Business travelers needs are simple when it comes to a travel management app– effective itinerary management, booking on the go, and expert support when they need it most. While the current CTM app hits all of those needs, we wanted to see if we could enhance the total customer experience.
On March 13, Corporate Travel Management (CTM) will be rolling out a brand new CTM Mobile app. The new streamlined interface, the choice to connect with Lightning or local online booking tools in each region and real-time notifications on delays, cancellations, boarding status and more delivers a smoother global experience for business travelers. There’s a lot to get excited about.
Simplicity - Effortless itinerary management in one place
CTM Mobile pulls live itinerary updates into the palm of your hand wherever in the world you booked with CTM, so you can see your full trip in one place regardless of whether you booked using Lightning, Concur, any other online booking tool or offline with your designated agent team.
Travelers can check the status of their flight in one tap from the itinerary page, putting them at ease or informing them to take their time in the airport lounge if there’s a short delay.
Speed - Book flights, hotels and car hire smoothly on the move
Limiting online booking to desktop only makes business travelers less productive and slows them down when they need to change travel plans urgently. Book flights, hotels, and cars in the app via our Lightning mobile integration or connect directly to your online booking tool of choice and see your itinerary update in real time. We’ll soon be adding domestic rail for the US, UK and Europe including Eurostar.
Safety - Trip disruption push alerts
Delays, cancellations and other disruptions need to be communicated to business travelers quickly and easily so their plans can be updated. When disruption strikes, CTM Mobile alerts your business travelers with instant push notifications for delays, cancellations and gate changes.
A first-class mobile experience
CTM’s North America CTO, Joel Bailey had this to say on the upgrade. “CTM Mobile really is an end-to-end business travel app. Our proprietary architecture at CTM means we’re able to leverage Lightning online booking, real-time human support, smart integrations with flight status and other APIs at the right time. It’s a truly flexible experience that mirrors the best of the desktop environment while keeping the app fast, simple and easy to use for busy travelers.”
Support that’s more than a chat bot
Travelers often prefer urgent assistance from an expert while traveling but retrieving contact information can be challenging or they can get stuck on chatbot loops. Travelers can get the urgent assistance they need in one tap thanks to our integrated Click-to-Call functionality in CTM Mobile that connects them directly with your designated agent team, 24/7.
Custom Event Notifications
Keeping travel plans separate from team events and meetings causes unnecessary juggling and mental load for travelers. You can quickly add custom events like restaurant reservations, team meetups and personal plans into CTM Mobile. Added reminder alerts and integrated map lookups make it easy to know where you need to be and when so you can focus on making the most of every trip.
Uber Integration
Locating address information to then input it into a different app is clunky and time-consuming. Our integration with Uber means you can simply tap and go from CTM Mobile and we’ll share the hotel or office location to get your ride that much faster and simpler.
Going global
The new app brings a new level of simplicity and flexibility to global travel programs. We’re launching in North America, with UK & Europe, Australia & New Zealand and Asia markets following in the coming weeks and months. Customers can select if they wish to adopt Lightning mobile booking as part of the app in all CTM markets or a combination of third-party online booking tools to suit their existing program.
Get started
To upgrade to the new version on March 13, travelers that already have the CTM Mobile app simply need to ensure they have automatic updates turned on in their phone settings. Travelers that don’t yet have the app can find the new version in the Apple App store or Google play to download on March 13.
